Meet our Founder
American Labor Relations Group, Inc. (ALG) was founded by Jim Monica, a seasoned labor relations attorney with over 18 years of experience. Jim began his legal career at a union-side labor law firm, representing major US unions in arbitrations, collective bargaining, and Federal court litigation. He then transitioned to Littler Mendelson, the world’s largest management-side labor & employment firm, where he represented employers in all aspects of Traditional Labor Law.
In 2015, Jim founded ALG with the goal of building a business his family would be proud of. He has since grown ALG into a nationally recognized firm, trusted by some of America’s largest employers and household brands. Jim represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board, addresses unfair labor practice charges, and negotiates collective bargaining agreements. He also focuses on leadership development, providing training and education to employees, managers, and executives.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. Fluent in Spanish, he has extensive experience working with diverse employee groups. Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and fishing.
